no recomiendo comprar este cargador inteligente. Lo compré poco más de un año atrás conjuntamente con una linterna HC68 y baterías. Lo habré usado una treintena de veces y ya no funciona. Como lo compré desde el exterior no me compensa reclamar garantía (aunque ya estaría fuera de garantía que es de un año) dado los costes de transporte. Cargadores genéricos me han durado más que este.
Ya a los pocos meses de uso cargando una batería NiMH AA sentí olor a quemado y fui a ver el cargador y me encontré con un recalentamiento de la batería que afectó la capa externa que recubre la misma batería y afectó también el propio material ABS del cargador quedando quemado y deformado parcialmente. Seguramente fallaron los mecanismos de seguridad del cargador que debió cortar la carga para evitar esa situación. El cargador siguió funcionando pero al año y un mes no encendió más sin ninguna razón aparente.
Otro punto negativo es la conexión micro usb muy lábil.
I do not recommend buying this smart charger. I bought it a little over a year ago, along with an HC68 flashlight and batteries. I have used it about thirty times, and now it no longer works. Since I bought it from abroad, it is not worth claiming the one-year warranty given the shipping costs. Generic chargers have lasted me longer than this one.
A few months after I started using it, I smelled something burning while charging an AA NiMH battery and went to check the charger. I found that the battery had overheated. This affected the outer layer covering the battery itself, as well as the ABS material of the charger. The charger was burned and partially deformed. The charger's safety mechanisms should have cut off the charge to prevent this situation, but they probably failed. The charger continued to work, but after a year and a month, it stopped turning on for no apparent reason.
Another negative point is the very unstable micro USB connection.

The Nitecore UMS2 has been a great charger for my 18650 setup. I’m rotating multiple married pairs, and this unit is exactly what I needed: clear display, intelligent charging behavior, and USB-C convenience.

It charges quickly and safely, and I like being able to monitor charging status in real time instead of guessing. Build quality is solid, and it handles my vaping batteries with no drama. Paired with a quality GaN USB-C wall charger, it performs even better.

Only limitation: it’s a 2-bay charger, so if you’re charging many pairs back-to-back, it takes longer than a 4-bay. But for most people, the speed/safety/portability balance is excellent.

If you use these batteries every day like me it’s a no brainier,always have a battery ready go with this charger,highly recommended.

I bought this product because the web site says it is USB-C. It is NOT! Even Nitecore's website pictures show a Micro USB jack, which is what mine arrived with. The charger works, but now I have to change my AC adapter and car cables. What's going on here? Are there two versions out there?

I gave a good 3 months plus before I decided to review. Part 1 is, I received a defective unit. They sent me a replacement without asking for the defect, so my rating is much higher for this reason. Unless I'm doing something wrong this new one is heading towards the same issue as the first one. The past month the right side only shows 2 bars, says good, but does not charge even when I take the left side out. So basically this is now a single battery charger which is not ideal as my device needs 2 batteries to function. I have used other outlets, and 4 different battery brands and they all have identical issues. really a shame because the first month was flawless and you cannot beat the price. But maybe that is the issue. You get what you pay for. I am not saying do not shop Nitecore. But I am posting for other people researching chargers. maybe I am the only one at the moment........

Does a quick, efficient job and provides independent feedback on the battery status in each slot. I tested batteries charged while in a flashlight against batteries charged in this unit. The unit was faster yet did a more thorough job, charging the batteries more completely. But it also protects against overloading. With this unit, you can get the longest life out of your batteries. Great product. Now I’m going to get the four-slot.

first off i wish they would replace the micro usb with a type c port..... i have bought two of these chargers now.... the first one i bought, the charging port came loose and upon opening up the charger, i saw that the port wasn't properly soldered down.... hoping my second one won't have the same issue......

I needed a good charger and this one fits the bill. Works great and quick.

Really not much to say at this point. The battery is for my Nitecore SRT7i 3,000 lumen flashlight which works very well! Haven't had either product long enough to make any kind of judgement as to longevity. The battery charged just fine so I threw a couple of 18650's at it that I knew were deficient. The charger called them "poor" so, it appears to be working.

I have optimized every battery I own, so much faster than my old charger.

You can simply insert batteries without touching a single button for automatic charging. Or you can play with the different modes if you need something specific (e.g. cap the charge at 3.7v for long term storage).

I have only used. This charger a couple of time since I received it works exactly as advetised.

I have complete confidence in all NITECORE battery chargers and this one is no different.

My last UMS2 died after about 2 years hard use charging both 18650 & 21700 flash light batteries, replaced with another.
