I love this flashlight. The battery life is great. Very convenient to charge with USB type C charger. The green laser is perfect. I like how it can be used while the flashlight is on. The slider feels very satisfying to use.
Product was solid until it stopped working. Battery life was never good, if you are using the light on bright setting. But then the button started acting up in less than 2 months.. I thought it was my imagination, until one day it completely stopped working... meaning my laser never turns on when I press the button, and I cannot switch between different modes anymore.
Built was nice and well thought.
I honestly love the edc17 its one of the best flashlights I've purchased in a while. looking forward to purchasing more nitecore products

This is an excellent flashlight with lots of great features. I wish it would allow the user to use the laser while using ultraviolet light. This would be a great addition to Future models for pointing out scorpions and things of that nature
Great all use carry-on. I love the side buttons, the end cap buttons are difficult for my big hands
This little light is amazing! Super bright, versatile, slips in my pocket for daily use.
I like having the 3 different light sources to choose from and it's easy to switch to each one. I like the quick access to the green laser by pressing the momentary switch. I don't think it's necessary to have the laser be one of the choices for the slide switch (to have it on without pressing a button, because why would that ever be needed?) when it's already accessable using the dedicated switch. Seems pointless, hence the docking of one star.
I also dislike that it's not easy to get into moonlight mode with one hand AND that the laser comes on while getting into moonlight mode. A better implementation for the UI would be to nix the laser on-all-the-time option of the slide switch and have that mode be moonlight instead.
Easy to use, no complicated procedures to choose flashlight power, great job on battery charge indicator, simple design is straight forward, swith isn't likely able to turn itself o-off byitself! Three positions is plenty to limit tactical needs! Now if only switch would lasts for 3-years as an EDC working as a daily carry, as a cop, that would really be the perfect EDC tool!

This light gets the most use of any of my lights and its perfect for my use. Its easy to toggle between the light, laser and uv, located just ahead of the switch. The primary light has 3 settings and the highest lights up the world. As with all Nitecore light, this one has a lot of punch in a little package.
Great job Nitecore! This is an outstanding flashlight for every day carry. It's not to large to carry in your pocket daily. The clip fits snug and the features are great. The UV light comes in handy for checking currency, ID or just checking for unseen stains. The green laser can be used while in flashlight mode and is good for pointing out a specific spots.
The material is stainless steel and already has survived a few drops, knurling is good the light doesn't slip out of your hand and the weight feels just right to me.
The beam is beautiful, no green or bluish tint, just pure white with a combination of spotlight and spill Control is excellent with a mode button to cycle through the different light settings, laser, light, UV in that order. You can press and hold the mode button when the flashlight is off to activate the laser by itself, if you turn the light on and press and hold the mode button you will get laser and light at the same time. You cannot do this with the UV light. To turn the light on just slide the switch toward one click for low two for medium and three for high. The same goes for UV. To access moonlight while the light is off press and hold the mode button and slide the switch on.
I've always been a big nitecore fan and have many, many of their models.Literally thousands of dollars worth and this one is the one I will carry every day. It is so easy to use and the battery life is very impressive for its outputs.I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend the EDC-17 it is an excellent everyday carry flashlight would the additional green laser feature and a very powerful UV light. it's slim line profile and the OTF pocket knife style switch is amazing.It's so intuitive, very well done nitecore!!! Another home run!!!
