The Nitecore EDC29 flashlight offers exceptional brightness and throw, making it a very powerful flashlight yet still suited for everyday carry. Equipped with the innovative NiteLab UHi 20 MAX LED, the EDC29 delivers a powerful 6,500 lumen output and an impressive throw of up to 437 yards. Designed for versatility, it provides four brightness levels, along with Spotlight, Floodlight, and Strobe modes.
Customizable Controls and Safety Features
The dual-stage mode button allows you to choose floodlight or strobe quickly. Meanwhile, the dual-stage power button controls the light's power and brightness levels. The EDC29 also features a Sensor Protection function that automatically reduces brightness if the light is accidentally activated in High mode, preventing overheating. This feature only activates when the light is turned on accidentally and deactivates during normal use.
USB-C Charging
The EDC29 can be charged through its built-in USB-C port. Once fully charged, the EDC29 can achieve a maximum runtime of 61 hours on its lowest mode and can be fully charged in just over 1 hour. Additionally, the EDC29 features two lockout modes: Semi and Full. In Half Lockout, you can still access Floodlight, Spotlight, or Strobe, while Full Lockout will fully prevent accidental activation. At a compact size of 5.26 inches and a weight of only 5.64 ounces, the EDC29 easily fits into any pocket. It is also water-repellant with an IP54 rating, and has 1-meter impact resistance, ensuring reliable performance in any environment.

Customers praised this 6500-lumen rechargeable EDC as "extremely bright" and "lightweight" with a "slim profile" that's "comfortable" to carry. Many love the "physical lockout switch" and battery display. However, some noted concerns about switch durability, limited water resistance, and complexity. A few warned it "gets hot" at high settings and can accidentally activate.
The EDC 29 is already a proven flashlight. The user interface and feel of it is one of the best out there. Definitely geared towards tactical operations, but obviously can be an EDC flashlight The new OD green color makes it the best looking green flashlight I have ever seen absolutely love it.
Bought it as a gift. She loves it!!! Slimmer than the 800 lm and a bit longer.

Great EDC flashlight — very poor packaging and shipping solution.
Bought this flashlight intending to gift to a work colleague for his birthday, yet Nitecore shipped this valuable ($110 MSRP) item in a smallish standard quality kraft paper envelope with a built in layer of thin bubble wrap, wholly inadequate in protecting the EDC29 retail box! Ergo, the box arrived crushed and crumbled with interior plastic cradle totally split and broken, making it unsuitable as a gift!!! Pretty disappointing Nitecore. Make sure to ask your order to be shipped in a proper shipping box when ordering from Nitecore…
I might have a small flashlight addiction, but this is my new favorite. It’s actually pretty simple to use, and I like being able to select a brightness first before actually engaging the LEDs. Quick access to the search light is clutch as well. Solid piece of gear.
I love this flashlight, it’s so perfect in my hand, the different settings and lumen possibilities are perfect.. I love that it shows how much time you have on each setting also.. thank you for developing good products
Love my edc29 and edc37. I work in subway tunnels and the lights perform flawlessly. When I need to see I can see, and when I need to be seen I am seen.
My third Nitecore product, and have been carrying it as part of my EDC in front cargo pocket. Takes up about the same amount of space as my Benchmade Griptillian that resides next to it. Added a custom paracord lanyard to match the one on the knife for easy retrieval.
It’s nice, but it needs a little bit longer of a run time on high because if you’re searching for someone or something, it doesn’t give you enough time especially if someone’s trying to cause you harm because it dimmed down quick other brands I’ve used at least give you 60 seconds also the switch on the side is backwards when when you put it into your pocket to clip it on push pushing in forward should be LockAnd when you pull it out of your pocket, it should activate the unlock so you can begin using but when you pull it out and you pull the switch back as you pull it out of your pocket, it locks it. We should had a little bit more than 1200 lm of brightness. My every day car was 1600 lm but I do like the LCD screen and the remaining time I will recommend it to others. I already have a few we’re going to order after our Christmas party.

Insanely bright on the highest power level. Feels great in your pocket as EDC. Comes with a nice lanyard, my favorite feature is the lockout button. So far it's quickly become my favorite EDC flashlight. The only thing that could be improved was a deep carry pocket clip.
Great EDC flashlight…! Super bright. I’ll go as far to say. I really didn’t believe it could be as bright as advertised. I was wrong. It surpassed all expectations.

dual function buttons began to be unresponsive while pushing halfway down trying to change lumen output, not even use 5 times a week , less than one year push buttons already having issues really disappointing to a light over hundred bucks
I was having trouble with the EDC27 with the power/selector switch on two that I tried. I then upgraded to the EDC29 and it seems more sturdier and like the upgraded features with the lock. So far I like it really well.
Effective EDC tool. My first one had a bad switch, and Nitecore replaced the light.
