Description

Refined Tactical Flashlight

The NITECORE P20UV v2 has been refined based on 1000s of user comments to provide you with the best tactical experience possible. This flashlight throws 1000 lumens over 179 yards, boasting 2.5 hours of run time on high and up to 46 hours on low. The dual-switch tailcap makes for easy one-handed operation with direct access to turbo and strobe. At under 6 inches and just 4.71 oz, an IP68 rating, and 1 meter of impact resistance; the new P20UV v2 is ready for duty.

Robust and Versatile

The P20UV v2 operates on a single 18650 battery or 2x CR123A batteries, increasing its versatility. Multi power options, combined with a power indicator in the tail cap, means a dead battery will never surprise you again. The bezel features three silicon nitride ceramic inlays for enhanced glass breaking. Aero-grade aluminum with diamond knurling in key locations enhances grip and durability.

Three Modes for Different Scenarios

Designed for military, police and security personnel, the P20UV v2 always allows direct access to turbo and strobe mode. The light can be customized with three operating modes: tactical mode, law enforcement mode, and daily mode for different usage scenarios.

Great white light for all purposes

Cons: The included wrist strap has nowhere to attach to so it is a pointless addition in the box. The UV light is terrible when compared to the SRT7GT and the SRT9. I have both. Wish they still made the SRT9. It was my favorite flashlight of all time. And I have an extensive collection of high end flashlights.
Pros: I love the orange peel (OP) reflector cone on nitecore flashlights. I bought this light specifically for that reason paired with the 18650 battery. Also one of the things the SRT9 had.
As stated, it uses an 18650 button top which is fantastic for charging a battery while using another. Quick change out with no interruptions of use waiting for charging.
This flashlight has modes such as tactical, normal, and law enforcement mode. It basically just gets rid of some of the brightness levels that normal mode has. I'm not sure if that's a pro or not. Most people won't use it.

—Many of the newer flashlights focus on long throw with smooth cones and "turbo" mode for what I can only assume is good lumen advertisement. What person ever said "I only want to light something up for 8 seconds"? Turbo mode is ridiculous to me. SRT9 had 2150 lumens without turbo. The deep, smooth cones focus the beam too much to be usable up close. The OP cone balances throw and spread.—

Upgraded My 2015 P20UV

I enjoyed using the P20UV Which was purchased In early 2015. I’ve used it verifying money, locating loss items, discretely scanning around home, or checking personal items. The original has a nice nimble feel and nice beam despite it being a little hefty for its size. The original is to easy carry even though I wouldn’t place in a shirt pocket. The newer version sports some improvements in power and ease of use. I certainly like both lights and have no problems owning either. I have five Nitecore lights which I all enjoy. Everyone has their preferences, mine are Nitecore compact flashlights. I’m sure to purchase a another model of my liking.
