This 12,000mAh extended runtime battery offers "great power" for headlamps and is "surprisingly lightweight." Customers praised its practicality and compatibility. However, concerns included USB-C cable durability, power drain when connected, and weather resistance issues with exposed charging ports during rain.
USB C cable had intermittent power supply issue during first few times of use then stopped working completely after 1 month of use. Bought a replacement cable with 90 degrees to keep cable protrusion out of the way, should have came from factory. Power is being discharge/drained if you keep the cable connected, when you need that extended runtime your extended battery is dead. Charging port for headlamp and battery could be better design for usage during rain, had connect issues.
The attachment for the battery is nice for 12k mAh with 2x lasting long on usage. The only down side is the USB-C cable, it can be break easily if not clip properly or use in a rugged terrain that can handle abuse. 90 degree USB-C input would have been nice to keep things flush. Under the rain, the headlamp exposed USB-C would be soaked if using the carbon battery although it is IP68 rated. It has pros and cons. Would love to see future if they have similar product as option for battery extensions but for 2x21700 or 2x18650 since those are common and replaceable whereas the carbon 12k battery is expensive and hard to find.
