Nitecore NB10000 Gen4 (Gen 4) Ultralight 10000mAh Power Bank

I’m happy you asked. I ordered two and received a defective one. I need to contact Support now and figure out how to get it replaced/another. The LED light does not turn off. So it’s just draining battery constantly. It’s nice to see you though with two of them how one’s supposed to work and how the other ones defective.

I just got NB10K Gen4 about a week ago, so consider this an initial review. I originally had NB10K Gen3 which I loved, it was light weight and did a great job. However it was so light weight I forgot it was in my pocket and it got fully submerged in a natural hot spring while I was traveling. Enter the Gen4 and so far it really good. It feels just as light weight and charges my mobile and accessories just as fast. Included charge cable is super handy and the lights.. to be honest it sounded like a gimmick but I actually used the knock on feature and was able to plug up while in pitch darkness. So far it's great upgrade. Saving that 5th star after some more usage on my end. Thanks

this is my first nitecore bank & I’ve only had it for about a week, but have been edc. Charges my Apple Watch, AirPods, phone faster than others. The trickle charge function gets you more bang for your buck in terms of charges, drawback is charge speed. It’s super small, I pretty much bought for the form factor, ipa rating & newer tech. Super light under 5oz is wild. My old bank had a USB-A port on it that i hadn’t used in forever and after 3 years finally bricked (diff brand.) my research lead me to purchase this gen 4. Im taking it on a backpacking trip next month so that will be the real test. my only complaint is i would have rather it be 4mm thinner with a larger footprint, thats me like trying to find something to improve. The cord dongle is awesome as well. Looking into buying more of just those.

Charges phone and other devices rapidly. Sturdy for backpacking and kayaking. Both the primary reasons to own the device; so, awesome. That said, the knock-to-wake feature is -- no matter how performed -- unreliable. It almost never wakes with the first knock and can take 2-3 knocks before waking with hard knuckle knocks like you would on a door (the directions advise fingertip knocking...that doesn't work). I suppose this is, on the one hand, advantageous in that it shouldn't then accidentally wake in my pack. It takes sufficient fiddling and knocking, however, that I feel a little stupid not simply hitting the power button to wake it. As it currently performs, it seems to be a silly feature. Either the included directions are incorrectly written or the feature needs more engineering work. Not currently sure what the use case would be over power button (which works easy and flawlessly).

When it comes to lighting, my first choice is NITECORE. There are a lot of different manufacturers of power banks out there, but this one from nightcore is different. Small size but huge power on this 10,000mah battery pack. It is very small and compact. This power banks still works the same as the other power bankV3. This still charges my iPhone 14 Pro at least 4 times from 0 to 100 in minutes when not in use. I am very impressed with this design.

I have several battery packs that I really like and use on a daily/weekly basis, but this one is real convenient and small. I like how the lanyard has a cable ready to go with it as well, that way I don’t forget one. Solid little guy

I recently purchased two of these to be able to take on longer trips and allow for more charges plus give me a backup in case one fails. I utilized them over a course of six days of camping to charge my iPhone 16 and my watch and found them to be very effective. I was able to charge my phone from about halfway three times off of one of the power banks. The watch of course takes very little charge. So I was totally satisfied with their ability to keep my devices charged up.

A big reason I purchased them was for their lightweight and compact size which I'm extremely satisfied with. These will work much better for my backpacking trips than what I previously used.

Since I've used them on only one trip so far, I can't speak to their reliability. But so far I'm impressed with their performance and seemingly solid build and features.

I also had called customer service to request expedited service when I ordered them and found them to be very helpful and accommodating.

Compact and light.

I bought this to charge my iPhone on an 8 day solo backpacking trip. The connector cord was defective, and it seemed to reverse charge. I did much of my trip with the phone off, after that. That was my camera. Lots of added stress. Works at home using different connector cable.

Great power bank, and great customer service!

My NB10000 Gen4 arrived defective and will not accept a charge. I verified this with a power monitor: it draws zero power, even though the indicator eventually shows four blue lights as if the unit is fully charged.

I requested an exchange, but I have to ship this defective unit back first. While I understand the need to inspect a return, the timing is especially frustrating because I bought it for a backpacking trip next weekend and now will not have it in time.

The worst part is that I am expected to pay to ship back a product that arrived nonfunctional. I asked for a prepaid label and was told I need to send it in within 15 days; it will then be tested, and only after they confirm the defect will a replacement ship. I can pay extra for express shipping if I want it sooner. In practice, that means I am potentially paying for shipping three times: the original shipment, return shipping for a defective item, and expedited shipping for the replacement.

That is not customer-first service. Nitecore’s published terms say defective products can be exchanged within 15 days, but this experience makes that process far more burdensome than it should be. I will be requesting a full refund instead.

Purchased to take to Philmont Scout Ranch to charge my iPhone 13 and my Apple Watch. The phone I used just for pictures and was on Airplane mode almost the whole 12 days. I was able to charge my phone once and my watch 3 times. This was garbage. I fully charged the unit before I left. I have an old Anker unit and it can do way better than this unit. I feel it was over priced for what I got and would not purchase again.
Unit not worth the money I will buy another anker any day of the week over this and would happily pay the weight penalty for the reliable unit.

Ordered two batteries, a 10000gen4 and an Air and, when it arrived, the 10000gen4 was bulging, swelled up like it was about to explode. Out of the box.

The Air was (seemingly, visually...) fine and their support was quick to reply (hence two stars instead of one) and said they'd send me another one...awesome. Appreciated. But now, not only do I have to call the bomb disposal unit or something to dispose of the small explosive they sent me, I'm still left paying full price? Not even a "sorry we mailed you some hazardous waste that you now how to figure out a way to dispose of" discount?

This was my first, and last, Nitecore order. Extremely disappointed.

The power bank works great. I purchased it for my wife, because she is on her phone all of the time. She has used it multiple times. It is very convenient. The lights around the charging ports are also great.

Haven't really used it yet but love the lightweight aspect and the charger that attaches

This battery is unbelievable. 36Wh in this package and at this weight is unheard of! I use a PD trigger cable to power my 12v QRP radio and it gives me hours of operating time - which I did not expect. I was so impressed, I bought another one because we all know, "Two is one, and one is none."

This product is exactly what it claims to be small and powerful, easy to carry around.

It charged another’s phone fast and she was happy.

The size and weight are excellent, though I have not had a chance to see how well this charges my iphone yet.

I am thrilled with the Nitecore NB10000 Gen4. I take it hiking and backpacking frequently and my phone dies quickly using trail navigation and taking photos. This powerbank works so quickly and I have a full charge in less than an hour on my phone. I am really happy with how lightweight it is, too. I highly recommend this powerbank and would buy it again.

This is the second purchased and my husband and I love them. Could not be happier with them.

I am impressed that in, under an hour, this unit charged my garmin watch and garmin inreach mini 3 100%and how small it is. Perfect for hiking
