This EDC flashlight delivers 4400 lumens in a compact, pocket-sized design. Customers praised its "incredibly bright" output and quality construction. The improved Gen 2 switch enhances operation, though some found it sensitive and noted it can activate accidentally in pockets. Several customers reported switch failures after 1-2 years. The light heats up quickly on turbo mode and requires battery removal for charging.

I love the new switch. It is a great improvement. It allows turning on and off more easy, and it greatly improves the ability to with to different lumens

love the light, a lil different than gen1

the flashlite itsself i love, no issues, highly recommend.
i had the gen 1 and then i lost it and bought the gen two, in some ways i liked the gen 1 button more than the gen 2. the soft touch button gets triggered easily in my opinion, i caught my pockets on fire 2 times lol, and one of the times it ruined my really nice shirt :( . but the gen 2 says unscrew the cap a little bit to prevent that. i guess in some ways thats a personal issue on my part.

It was pretty easy to use

It was pretty easy to use. and the different modes I could adjust the light to exactly what I needed. I do human and drug trafficking prevention in the guard rn so it’s been good for the long nights of searching

Okay not great

Size is just right. Brightness is very good but that is also the problem. Light gets very hot quickly and then some kind of thermal thing kicks in and starts dimming the light. The thumb switch is very sensitive and make control harder than it should be. Should have made it with a magnetic base. Would be very easy to do.

Good flashlight... but not for long

Although this is a bright flashlight... it does not last long. I had my first one for a little over a year when it stopped working. I got a replacement flashlight of the same model and less than a year later that one too no longer works. Seems to have a major underlying issue with the switch. I have a P20iX model that I bought 3 years ago and is still going strong definitly go for that model even though its a bit more pricey.

Worst light by Nitecore

Big fan of Nitecore lights. However, I bought two of these lights and both died a couple months after I received them. The problem on both was the switch. Both failed quickly and were junk. Do not buy. Wish I could give it zero stars. P20ix is a great light and use it for work every day.

Switch problems

Another Litecore product i'm ambivalent about. I got this a few years back to have a bright light when i needed one. I've used it very intermittently, and it had been working fine. I used it last winter (2024) shopping for a used truck. It really helped when crawling around on the ground, checking out the undercarriage. But just recently, i went to use it again, and the switch doesn't seem to work. None of the usual modes work; pressing the switch produces erratic results. It strobes, but and reduced power, and the blink rate is erratic. Having tried it again just now, nothing happens at all not matter how the switch is pressed. I charged the battery, but the charging light on the end doesn't light up. A battery tester indicates the battery is charged, so i'm assuming a switch issue. The light seems completely dead now. Never dropped, abused, or exposed to water. Pretty disappointing durability for almost $100.

When I say bright, I mean really bright!

Hard to believe this flash light fits in you pocket and has the brightness it does. I it built like a tank and feels good in the hand. The sequencing of the side button takes a little getting used to, but once you have it down, it is actually well thought out.

Small Powerful Flashlight

I will only buy a flashlight with a removable battery and the Nitecore E4K 4400 Lumen EDC Flashlight is the best in its class.

handy EDC light

bought for its light weight and small portability, yet still powerful. especially like the tactical feel along with the side on/off light switch. only wish there was an outside charge port, other than that, no complaints, satisfied with this purchase.

The best quality

The best quality small flashlight that you can have. I am collecting flashlights since childhood. I paid over $2000 for some of them. So believe me I have a comparison.

E4k review

I had been looking for a flashlight for a while that was really powerful with a great standby time for camping and hiking. I have never bought a high end flashlight but I really love this one. It came with a nice battery that delivered high output and has the charging port built into the battery! I didn't realize how hot the light can get on turbo that's new to me but the light is an excellent but I would recommend to anyone who needs a lot of light for a longer period of time and also wants multi functionality like a low light mode.

Bought for night rides on my bike.

I bicycle from work late at night and thought this would be great as a light for that. The beam is very wide so it is great if I need to repair a tire or do any maintenance up close, and the lower settings won’t blind you at night. I will say though, the button pushes are not intuitive to get to the strobe (which is the other reason I wanted it with me at night on the bike) You have to turn it on then hold the button down to get to the strobe, but if you don’t hold it down long enough it shuts the light off. I am not a fan of the fact that you can turn it on with both a full press or a half press. The half press is just too light for the turn on function and I am concerned that it may come on accidentally in my bag, so I turn the tale cap 1/4 turn to disable it. So that is why it is 3 stars for me, to use it as a strobe I would need to turn the tail cap down, turn it on, and push the button down and hold it long enough to not shut it off. Am I being too picky?

VNery Nitecore E4K 4400 Lumen EDC Flashlight

This flashlight is the perfect size and length to carry in your pocket. I have many Nitecore flashlights and this one is my favorite for its compactness. 4400 lumens out of this little flashlight is amazing.

Extremely bright, extremely simple.

This little light packs a punch with how incredibly bright it is. Simple one button use and it’s compact size makes it a perfect light for EDC or for law enforcement use. Equal to the p20xi that I carry on duty. Perfect backup and easy to carry. If you don’t get a tactical light, this a great alternative. Impressive for it’s small size.

E4K

Very nice flashlight at the perfect size I was needing. I do a lot of woods hiking at night with a female friend. I was looking for a light that had multiple brightness settings easy to access, small enough to carry in any pocket, long run times on the lower settings to watch our step on the trails but still had an extremely bright turbo setting to buy some reaction time in a defensive situation if needed or taking a quick look far down the trail. Very good light for checking out those night noises in the backyard too.
E4K along with a spare battery is perfect for my needs.

Finally found my Perfect EDC!

I have been looking for an EDC flashlight for some time now, but my search is finally over. After several purchases that left me unhappy, I have found exactly what I've been looking for. Very bright and the perfect size. Love it!

Great Self Defense

I bought this for my daughter who walks to work (about two blocks). During the winter months it's dark when she goes to work and when she returns to her home. This is a great non lethal self defense light that is small and light weight.
