Customers praised this versatile 3-in-1 device as a "game changer" combining powerful flashlight (up to 3000 lumens), lantern with red modes, and 10,000mAh power bank. Most loved the compact design, long runtime, and fast charging. However, some reported reliability issues including charging failures and buzzing noises, while others noted heat at maximum brightness and inadequate lantern diffusion showing visible LEDs.
The LR70 has a lot going for it with its combination of powerful flashlight (1-3000lm), lantern (5-400lm, 4000K), and power bank (10,000mAh). Add 365nm UV and a laser pointer, and you would have it all – LR70-PRO? It has a good button layout (right-handed), one for the flashlight mode and one for lantern, making it easy to operate, and much better than the common one button-does-all. Its 10,000 mAh capacity power bank fully FAST-charged my Samsung S21, obviating the need to carry around a dedicated power bank. The lantern includes red modes, handy for night vision and emergencies. Conveniently, it can tail-stand in flashlight mode and hang as a lantern. The 600 h at 1 lm in flashlight mode is impressive, but it pales in comparison to the 1500 h at 1 lm of Nitecore’s MH25 v2 with only 5000 mAh, half the capacity of the LR70. A significant disappointment for me is the inadequate diffusion of the lantern, particularly at the lowest setting, where one can only too clearly see the string of LEDs on the front (7), back (7), and top (6), with none on the sides (photo). I’m deducting one star for that, all the more that I don’t find the pictures posted at Nitecorestore.com for this lantern to be representative. It’s a problem I also experienced with Nitecore’s NDF40 diffuser. Durability remains to be determined, as I’ve only had it for a few days. However, all-in-all, I like this little do-it-all powerhouse. Recommended.
Another high quality flashlight designed from Nightcore, this particular design is interesting because it's a flashlight and sort of a camping light that also has red lights in it as well to save your night vision. The one complain I might have with it is which seems to be a common flaw amongst some flashlights these days is that in an effort to produce a beam of light that is super bright and in fact so bright that it heats up the end of the flashlight to the point or it will automatically take itself off of that setting because it may damage itself from the heat that it generates. So I would like to see a little more effort put into heat dissipation as the end of this can be difficult to hold after it runs for a while the front end can get pretty hot. Having said that if it's like a little camping like that you're using up close you probably won't need it at that intense light setting hopefully for too long so I still think it's a pretty handy light just have to watch having it on at maximum intensity for a long period of time.
It provided a nice, even light to the intended area. The spotlight also had decent brightness, making it functional for the pointed area.
I love how the input and output data is large enough to read. The instructions in the booklet are easy to follow. One thing I did was compare to my older bike light of stated 500 lumens with a different color temperature. I would have like to see the color temperature of the LR70 closer to 5000K. The 1,000 Lumen output looked dimmer to me when compared to the 500 Lumen output of the bike light. But this LR70 checked all of my boxes for daily and emergency use. Keeping a few on hand maybe one at work and one to daily is best. I feel the light get hot once you opt to utilize the 3,100 Lumens. But I hope to see this light outlast me. All in all it is a great addition to my collection. And my first higher end light.

I tried to charge the flashlight for the first time and nothing (death) . When working was a great light , but this is premium light shouldn’t have this problem.
i had the light for 2 to 3 weeks before it died. i was able to get a replacement. but note customer is really good but also told me the light was working when i sent it back. Trust me it wasn't working at all. your chances of this happening is really good since i am the 2nd person that this has happen too. Nitecore needs to recall these lights and offer a different option. Well i got the replacement light and now this one has a buzzing noise when the light is on! Nitecore needs to fire the person who messed this one up. great product, great idea, just could'nt perform out of the box

I really like the LR70. The lantern feature is very useful.
I never once thought that this compact lantern is capable of more than just lighting a small room.
For it to be able to run for hours at a 1,000 Lumens is unheard of as no other flashlights on earth can even comes close in terms of run times.
A major plus is to have a handy a Fast Charging 10,000 Mah Battery as it becomes a part of my EDC Sling Bag Carry. Instead of carrying a separate bowerbank.

The LR70 is awesome,very bright,very well constructed,I like to have a few lanterns for incase of power outages and camping,definitely recommend this for anytime use.
Awesome design extreamly handy
I was actually using this light (well...playing with it) when the invitation to review it popped up. No need to cover specs or operation both of which are great but I can tell you this is an outstanding piece of kit. Incredibly versatile with the lantern/flashlight/red beacon, strobe & SOS not to mention it's a charging option for your phone or other things. I find it to be very useful in many ways. Worth ever penny. Highly recommend
Great light. I like that it’s good for a flashlight and lantern and the fact you can use it for a powerbank is just a bonus. Good metal loop to hang it with. I have the older LR50 and this new one seems to be better diffused and not blind you as bad on the lantern. As with all my Nitecore lights great quality.

I have a couple of the LR60"s. If you are only looking for a lantern it is slightly better than the LR70. The reason is for the overwhelming versatility in the design.
However, the LR70 takes about 80% of what the LR60 is and adds it to a very bright and versatile flashlight... and it's more compact than the LR60. If I could only have one it would be the LR70 hands down.
The USB C charging is an absolute since 2 depleted 21700's takes a lot of charging.
Gotta give Nitecore an A+ on the LR70.
