Nitecore NWS10 Emergency Whistle

Hi purchased this recently. I like the quality and reliability of this whistle. I did notice that the internal element has changed from an earlier NWS10 whistle I had purchased years ago. The original whistle had a Teflon core which could come loose under certain circumstances. I personally modified this by drilling a hole through the titanium body and Teflon core and binding them together with a spring roll pin. The new NWS10 has an aluminum core which I hope will not need this modification. The sound of the older whistle with Teflon core does have a more pleasant tone, than the new whistles with aluminum core. But since this is supposed to be an emergency whistle I guess that is not important. Overall I find this a very useful and quality product.

I bought the whistle to get free shipping but I really like it and will be getting more . The battery did not fix the issue with my flashlight not charging. I have mailed all back under warranty. Fed ex said they were delivered today. Hopefully turn around warranty claim is quick and painless as I buy a lot from nitecore.

Well made whistle that is both compact - perfect for Altoids tin EDC - and loud.

Lots of sharp angles which are uncomfortable. I'd send it back but don't want to pay to ship it back, etc.....

Small but effective. I put it on a ball chain around my neck. I use it to get attention on loud construction sites. Grabs attention, doesn't take much blowing to get a sound. High pitch, not like a pea whistle. Can be heard for a long ways.
