Nitecore POCKET 5 5000mAh Magnetic Power Bank with Built-In Cable

Extremely cool, but heavy, ya know...

I very much like the size and speed with which this bank charges my phone, but the block heats up quickly and becomes very very hot to the touch while charging.

A little heavier than anticipated. Charging the power bank itself was quick and easy. Charged iPhone that was at 30% fairly quickly, although the unit became quite hot, it did cool down in less than 10 min.

Super design. Love the wired charging with magnetic attachment.

Very slim, great built in cable, came fully charged, mag safe snapped on securely. Very nice build & feel.

Works great, and I love that it magnets to a MagSafe capable phone WITHOUT wireless charging. I originally wanted a wireless battery bank, but after researching how much power is wasted and heat is generated, I searched until I found this Nitecore model. Love it!

The size of the battery is great, very slim.
Love that has a usb c cable. It charges much faster and battery last much longer than charging via MagSafe and doesn’t get nearly as hot.

Performance is okay. Magnet is very weak. Will always shift or disengage when in pocket.

Outstanding device. Bought it for the wife, she enjoys it very much. She always needs extra juice…🤣

I’ve not used this much yet and hope to update at some point. But the unit is very slim and seems very nicely constructed overall. I held off buying it because of the charging cable being permanently attached at one end. after taking the plunge and buying it, I remain worried about that cord and would hesitate to recommend this product for that one reason.I wish that cord could either tuck securely along the edge of the power bank OR that it was fully removable (the better solution). It looks sturdy but it sticks out a lot, which means it will inevitably get bumped a lot and it’s not nearly as friendly for getting into and out of a bag as it should be. How long before it fails? Then what?
The fixed cord just seems like a rather huge design flaw.
If it weren’t for that cord issue, I’d buy three more of these straight away.

Out in the sticks where I live the power is always going out. Had a big storm the other day with power out for two days but my phone stayed at full charge even with lots of use. I have other powerbanks, but thought to use this outage to test the new nitecore and it kept my phone and nitecore lights going strong for longer than I expected. I own many nitecore products because they don't let me down (except for that old E4K but to be fair it did spend some weeks living in the yard before I found it).

Good charger, so far. Should be a little less expensive so it's no great bargain. Convenient to use, decent size.

It works very well. My only caveat is that it gets pretty warm which is normal I suppose.

They had a 10000 mAh pocket battery that had a built in cable. And they discontinued it... And none of the new ones have the cable for that size. Awful.

Lightweight, strong magnetism, a nice accessory.

Does exactly what it claims. It easily lets my phone last at least twice as long and still fits in my pocket while attached. The magnet is strong enough to keep it secure. I can't think of any complaints.

The Power Bank is great! However, the design of the charging cord and placement is ridiculous! If plugged into the hole for it, the charging cord gets in the way of storage. Why could this not have been designed so that the cord was integrated into the bottom flat against the Power Bank? Poor design in my opinion!!!

Compact well built power bank

I like the concept that it attaches to the phone via magnet but charges via cable. The cable-based charging much faster and more efficient. Since my phone has a lightning connector, I bought a cheap adapter off amazon so the USB C cable still works.

This slim charger attached perfectly to my Apple iphone 15 using my existing magnet. The charger does a great job keeping my phone charged. The slim profile and light weight feature allows me to carry in my leg slotted pocket with no issues. The recharge time is quick as well. I will be buying one for my wife soon.
