Nitecore Intelligent 21700 Battery System - MPB21 Kit: Lantern, Dual Function Battery Charger

It's fine but I bought this for the HC35 which the battery is not compatible with and the charger cannot chart the battery for the HC35. So mostly just an expensive lamp.

The lamp and charger only work with included battery. They will not work with any other 21700 series battery. Naming this an “Intelligent 21700 Battery System” isn’t very accurate and could be considered misleading.

The MPB21 kit is a convenient spare battery kit that doubles as a low lumen lantern and a mini battery pack all in one. Good to have on hand when outdoors.

Very please with the system. The light is a great emergency item.

It's a great lantern for any dark room great for comping and power outages if you need a lantern that is easy and super portable then this is the one to get. The phone charger is slow but it works if your phone was dead and this was all you had then it will do the job. But all in all it's a great buy

Perfect to have around for lighting / charging. Lantern provides plenty of light for basic illumination of small - medium spaces. Unbelievably portable.

I bought this as a backup battery for my Nightcore flashlight and it's very ingenious the way the charging mechanism and the extra light works I love it

What are the other 21700 batteries that I can use, once de NL2150HPI is discontinued?

I needed additional Nitecore 21700 batteries and for just a few bucks more received an 80 Lumen ‘Lantern Type’ light that attaches to the battery by a magnet. Also included is an adapter USB charger that also attaches to the battery via magnets. And, did I mention the light lasts a very long time! A great combo product from Nitecore!

I purchased one of these and was impressed with it so much I ordered another one the day I received the first one. The only drawback is that it will cost me shipping again but that's ok. Trust me when I suggest you buy two units if you buy one at all. You will be glad you did and when you do you can thank me here. One more side note is that I put the charging base on the bottom of the battery and the light on the other end and it works at the same time fyi. So if you needed both utilities off same battery you can do so. Pretty cool device I have to say.

This is an awsum little lantern if the lights go out ......and can be used to charge your phone during power outages , its just a fun thing to have.
I bought another one after using this one.

Proprietary design aside, this is one high density battery with high output. Previously I had been using only the 18650 size. Bigger is better (typically) when it comes to batteries.

Battery number 2 - 21700 i series battery - NL2150HPi. Results of two batteries are consistent. Yesterday, battery number 1 got phone charged to 91% of phone battery capacity. Today the second new battery achieved 92% of my iPhone battery. So efficiency is 0.92 x 3046mAh/5000mAh = 56.0% of the claimed power Bank battery capacity.

I just ordered two batteries for weight savings over my 10000mAH hard power bank. My iPhone has a 3046mAh I use for gps backpacking. 5000mAh/3046mAh =1.6. But rather it achieved 0.91. Charging was in 69 F degree room. Phone was not used other than background incoming emails and texts.

Excellent product - doesn't take up a lot of room in the kit and the battery works in the MH10 v2 as well.

Stumbled on this product featured on a Youtube review and ordered it as fast as I could. Being an avid backpacker, I am always looking for gear options that are lightweight and serve more than one purpose. This is a small footprint back up battery that can charge a cell phone completely in a pinch but also serves as an excellent light source with the included attachment. This is going to be a permanent addition to my kit.

I've used this while out ice fishing in my popup shelter and while camping. It's small, lite and works great.

Super impressed with this little kit. A great color temp for a reading light, and not too bright. Excellent addition to the Nitecore P20IX flashlight as this uses the same battery.

I liked the first kit, I bought a second. They charge fast. Last a good long time. If all you are charging is a phone, it’s perfect for the weight. I bought the second for the longer trips and ability to charge a second device. The addition of the light, reduces the need for a light and a secondary headlamp. More weight reduction. Highly recommend.

Excellent system for backup charging as well as backup-lighting!!!!

Product was delivered on time and in good condition. Versatile light for camping and backyard firepit activities. Using this means I don't have to haul out special lighting for small jobs. For us in a tent the only complaint I would have is a hook for hanging it would make this light perfeect. Cannot fault it otherwise.
