8000 Lumen EDC Flashlight

The Nitecore EDC37 flashlight delivers exceptional brightness and throw, making it one of the most powerful options available for everyday carry. Equipped with the innovative NiteLab UHi 20 MAX LED, the EDC37 outputs a stunning 8,000 lumens with an impressive beam distance of up to 459 yards.

Customizable to Your Needs

Designed for versatility, it offers four brightness levels, plus Spotlight, Floodlight, and Strobe modes. A digital OLED screen clearly displays the current brightness level, remaining battery life, and more. The EDC37 also features two dual-stage tactical buttons: a circular tail button for adjusting brightness and accessing the momentary ultralow mode, and a rectangular customizable button that can be set to activate Spotlight, Floodlight, or Strobe.

USB-C Rechargeable

Charging the EDC37 is fast and convenient with its built-in USB-C port, and the OLED screen provides real-time battery level updates. On a full charge, the EDC37 can run for up to 190 hours on its lowest setting and fully recharges in just 2 hours. For added safety, it includes a Lockout switch to prevent accidental activation. Hot ticket!

This light gets hot fast at 8000 Lumen settings (Luminshield or Strobe), so after a short time (15 sec or so) the temp sensor throttles it back to a lower power setting until it cools off. This is OK with me since my intended purpose for the light is mainly as a tac strobe, so a few seconds is all I need. The switch handles differently than the 20ix, which is unfortunate since it creates minor confusion, but the switch on the 37 works well enough. Get the 20ix if you are looking for belt carry with a replaceable battery and stupid easy strobe access (you do have to program it for that application). Get the EDC37 if you are looking for a beast that works best for pocket carry (the 37 is shorter, but thicker and heavier) and you can live with a (good) battery that you cannot replace. Also be mindful of very short usage window at high power. Either strobe will blind any adversary temporarily, so power should not be the deciding factor if you are looking for a tac light. I like and use both - carry choice is based on whether I want belt (20ix) or pocket (EDC37) carry. Both have merits and limitations. Pocket carry (37) is more discrete, but you won’t use the pocket clip on the 37 (just carry it loose; lockout switch is like a thumb safety so no worries about accidental ignition). Practice your draw so you don’t forget to hit that lockout switch. 20ix draw is quicker and simpler, but belt carry is not always a good option since it attracts attention and invites questions. Best option: get both! Great lights - each in their own way.

Top Quality

Nice and compact, easy to use, very well made, and lots of power, it could get hot, anther great feature is the lockout switch, I am happy with it, I just wish I could be able to switch out the battery so that if I need it I have that option.

Great light.

I own the EDC27UHi, the EDC29, and now the EDC37! They just keep getting better and better! I know that it’s marketed primarily as an EDC style light, but I have one suggestion to make it a little more of a tactical light. I wish the half-press of the POWER button were programmable. That would allow momentary use of the other brightnesses besides ULTRA-LOW.
