8000 Lumen EDC Flashlight

The Nitecore EDC37 flashlight delivers exceptional brightness and throw, making it one of the most powerful options available for everyday carry. Equipped with the innovative NiteLab UHi 20 MAX LED, the EDC37 outputs a stunning 8,000 lumens with an impressive beam distance of up to 459 yards.

Customizable to Your Needs

Designed for versatility, it offers four brightness levels, plus Spotlight, Floodlight, and Strobe modes. A digital OLED screen clearly displays the current brightness level, remaining battery life, and more. The EDC37 also features two dual-stage tactical buttons: a circular tail button for adjusting brightness and accessing the momentary ultralow mode, and a rectangular customizable button that can be set to activate Spotlight, Floodlight, or Strobe.

USB-C Rechargeable

Charging the EDC37 is fast and convenient with its built-in USB-C port, and the OLED screen provides real-time battery level updates. On a full charge, the EDC37 can run for up to 190 hours on its lowest setting and fully recharges in just 2 hours. For added safety, it includes a Lockout switch to prevent accidental activation. Compact at just 4.25 inches long and weighing only 7.02 ounces, the EDC37 easily fits in your pocket. Love it

4.75 only because I like my EDC35 slightly better. I like how the clip is screwed on to the 37 as opposed to the 35, but it’s harder to clip on my vest at my shoulder smoothly as I use it on several traffic stops a shift.

Really incredible EDC light

Really incredible EDC light.

My requirements for a good "defensive" handheld light as a legally armed civilian occupies a very narrow lane: I want a light that throws far enough and a light that can cast a beam wide-enough so that it can compliment my concealed-carry firearm's WML, which for me, is limited in size (and thus capability) by my preferred depth of concealment.

Currently, Nitecore's LuminShield/Search makes for a very, very unique combination that perfectly suits my needs, and over the past year and a half, I have purchased the EDC33, EDC35, EDC29, and EDC37 - all in search of my Goldilocks combo of output and my preferred (simple) UI/switchology.

For me, I require only momentary -but extremely high- output, and the current LuminShield/Search features that Nitecore has built into the EDC-line fit that bill perfectly. Here, the EDC37 is simply an incredible powerhouse. That said, the quick thermal-throttling is something that I see as an inevitable compromise as based on current battery technology, and the ability of the light to remain reasonably cool and have extended run-times in "medium" and lower (i.e. 400 lumen or less) modes more than satisfy my everyday needs (even as I also carry smaller lights -such as a keychain light- for those tasks).

The UI/switchology of the EDC37 is so far the best execution of Nitecore's dual-tail switch on their "flat" models. With the EDC29, I've found that if my thumb inadvertently depressed both switches, the light would fail to turn on. The EDC37's switch logic makes certain that this will not happen, which is a huge consideration for those who purchase this light as an "emergency" use light - as in the heat of the moment, the close proximity of the switches can always cause an issue.

There's a lot of *_excellent_* lights out there today. I have a number of them, all of which were purchased - none were given or received by me for review from any manufacturer. I also have no affiliations with any vendors or distributors. That I choose to truly EDC the Nitecore EDC37 shows just how much I like and trust this product.

Excellent light, excellent service after the sale

I have the edc29 and love it. This one continues on their path of exceeding expectations. First rate quality build, 8000 lumens, what more could you want.
I had a small issue with one of my Nitecore lights and I must say, they take care of their customers. Very pleased with the light and customer service after

I love this light

I love this light, the deep pocket clip is nice. The lockout is where you really love. The metal construction is amazing. Is shorter than a traditional a little wider so it takes up most of the space in one pocket so I could put my knife in the other, but other than that, I reallylove the digit love the digital output reading . It’s a great light all around . I’ll buy another but thinking about getting the slimmer one.

Outstanding Light...

Top notch form/function and a fantastic amount of output to be so tiny/lightweight.
