Description

Dual Beam 800 Lumens Headlamp

The Nitecore UT27 stands out as a bright lightweight headlamp designed for running, with insights from professional trail runners across the globe. It features both white and warm light options. The white light spans an impressive 153 yards and yields an output of 500 lumens, ideal for outdoor pursuits like trail running, hiking, and nocturnal strolls. Conversely, the warm light extends up to 146 yards with the same 500-lumen output making it excellent for penetrating challenging weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog. By combining both lights on Turbo mode, an astounding 800 lumens of brightness emerges, casting a seamlessly uniform beam that reaches 183 yards. The UT27 further offers a red light mode, switchable between a steady glow and a flashing signal, facilitating awareness of your surroundings. Effortless toggling between light options and brightness adjustments is enabled through the user-friendly dual switches.

Multiple Ways to Power

Accommodating various power options, the UT27 comes with HLB1500 USB-C rechargeable battery pack while is compatible with 3x AAA batteries. A power indicator signals when it is time to recharge, and the lockout mode prevents accidental activations. Its ultra-low standby power consumption ensures a ready state throughout the year. For those navigating the night, a glow-in-the-dark battery compartment simplifies battery replacement.

Lightweight and Durable

With a mere weight of 2.61 ounces, including the battery and headband, the UT27 proves an ideal running companion. The breathable and lightweight headband integrates a silicone strip, securing the UT27 effectively while diverting sweat away from the eyes. Reflective decals enhance visibility and safety during nighttime activities. Engineered to withstand diverse conditions, the UT27 endures impacts of up to 1 meter and holds an IP66 rating, shielding against splashes and rain.

Lightweight, feature packed, excellent headlamp

For me it's the best running head lamp that I've used. Very light weight, excellent brightness, love the battery system, love the diffusion bag. Only reason I took off a star was because a fully charged battery didn't quite last the entire night on the medium setting. But it came with an extra battery, and it's easy to charge a spare battery while on the move (it has a handy little USB-C socket built into the battery). My previous headlamp was one of the Fenix models with the boa adjuster, which I also love, but it's significantly heavier than the Nitecore, and when you run out of batteries you have to plug the whole headlamp in, so if that's in the middle of the night you're now a sitting duck. It also would take hours to charge, the Nitecore batteries take much less time. The battery compartment in the Nitecore glows when you switch out the batteries making it very easy at night with a dead headlamp. Things like that, and the diffusion bag, are very thoughtful features that I appreciate.

Still getting used to the controls

Still getting used to the controls, but the luminosity, battery life and headband are all incredible for the price! Will be recommending Nitecore to everyone.

I like The Three Colors of Light.

Haven't had this headlamp long enough to really comment on it. But one thing I noticed right away was that there are only five detents for vertical positioning. The NU25 I own has six vertical positions. The other problem is trying to double click fast enough to turn on the 800 lumen mode. That is very difficult for me.
