Nitecore NEW P30 1000 Lumen Long Throw Hunting Flashlight

I bought one of these in the hunting kit a couple years ago. Liked it so much, I bought another one (just the flashlight). Very nice light! Super bright. Love the option to select brightness but, they are fragile. Not in the housing. It's well built. Something in the components is fragile. When i recieved the 2nd one, it never worked right out of the box. Charged all my batteries and would only get a small dim LED light to come on. It went away when i went thru the brightness selection button. Came back on real dim on the lowest setting. My bad for not returning it immediately. It never did work. The first one I bought, I was getting out of the truck a couple weeks ago and it fell to the ground on the grass. Turned it on and it's doin the same thing that the other one is doing, one small LED light lit up. So now I have two really nice unusable lights. While the housings are built very very well, they could use a little bit of rubber on them somewhere so if they do fall, the rubber will absorb the impact. While I'd love to purchase another one, I won't, just for the chance of this happening again and plus, they're not cheap. Gonna start my search for a new brand somewhere.

NEW P30 hunting flashlight. Bought this to have a long throw flashlight and am very happy with its performance, although I haven’t used it much yet. Very well built and compact. The battery it comes with does not have a charge indicator light on it like the other Nitecore batteries I have. No big deal since the flashlight has a charge remaining feature on it. Very happy with it so far.

Very bright focused beam couldn't ask for any better perfect for what I needed

The New P30 is awsome and I use it everyday, but the mode button on the front is not necessary...1) it's hard to find in the dark...2) when I hold the flashlight between my shoulder and cheek, it changes modes.

Please put all Modes through the tail cap, its faster and it could save your life.

The P30 turned out to be better than I expected in terms of long throw light. Haven’t used other features yet such as charging.

Great flashlight. Definitely throws beam further than my MH20GT. One thing I would have liked is an external charging port. But the fact that the battery comes with C Type charger makes up for that. Over all 4.5⭐ good product for the price. Thank you Nitecore for the summer coupon as well.

A good search and rescue light very powerful

I have multiple nitecore lights and love them all. I didn't have a dedicated thrower and loved the compact size of this one so I got it.
The good thing about this light is it's compact size and rechargeable battery. The beam is nice and focused and does a good job at lighting up your target.
The bad is while the light will shine to it's advertised 600 meters it's not very effective past about 450. I feel like if it had around 1800 lumens as does most of nitecore's lights it would be perfect.
Overall it's a great light with a great compact size but in my opinion it's a little on the underpowered side. If I had to do it again I would buy the p30i and skip this purchase but for it's size and portability it's still a great option.

I run a similar flash lights on other rifles but I really like this p30. Mounted it on a cz 527 (22 hornet) for night irad. I used it in the field once so far and wow. Very bright and long beam. I feel like this is better than my surefire, the beams are comparable but the p30 is better simply due to it's power source/supply. Using a 21700 usb rechargable battery is a major plus.

Performs as listed. Wanted a flashlight with a long throw for everyday use and emergencies. Size and weight are terrific.

Well it's called a long throw flashlight for a reason. I have only been able to test it at a distance of about 400 yards but it had no problem lighting up a good size area at that distance. It looks like a searchlight when you aim it up at the sky! It's plenty bright enough also. Even though it's designed as a thrower it works just as well around the yard and inside the house with it's lower power settings. Quality is excellent especially when you consider the low price. I have several Streamlight and Surefire flashlight's that I paid quite a bit more $ for that aren't any better than the P 30. If there's one downside (which I knew before buying) is that the head is a little large to throw in your pocket to use as an EDC. But it does come with it's own holster.

Amazing throw and quality. I have 3 other nitecore lights. Only issue with this is I wish it had the blue light around the mode select button or was a larger button as it is hard to find for some one with night vision issues.

I purchased this several months ago and have been super impressed. I use it for a few minutes every night when going from my shop back to my house after dark. I find myself toggling between the power modes, usually looking for a LOWER setting-- this light is BRIGHT! I honestly can't say how long it takes to recharge because after several months of usage, albeit for only a few minutes a day, I have NOT HAD TO RECHARGE IT!. I especially like the fact that the battery contains the charging port, so there is no little rubber flap on the light to potentially fail/become lost. This makes the light more water resistant, IMHO. I WILL be a repeat customer!

The light is everything I wanted. I am using it on my bike and it puts out an awesome amount of light. Battery usage is fantastic. The Nitecore store shipped same day and I was using 3 days later. Awesome!

This is the best long distance beam in my flashlight collection and it came with the big battery also.

I carry this every day at work on my belt. It really delivers on those distance shots. And since the recession started crime is an issue. So having a light reach out lets people know there are people on this property so stay away. For the size it rather comfortable. And I had no issues with having a second battery. There is plenty of run time on this guy. The long distance throw saves me from walking to see things. I can easily see valves or conveyors running. And check the perimeter for intruders. I definitely will be a buyer for the next version of this light.

Great little flashlight for anything you need. It has a super long beam shot and really bright. 28th 5 different lumen modes it can be used for any task. Well worth the money and made it to my door in just under a week. Thanks Nitecore
