At least 8 years old and still going

I bought a Nitecore SRT9, Nitecore i2 Intellicharger, and two of these batteries for work at a summer resident camp roughly a decade ago. Today, I am still using the same flashlight and original batteries as a volunteer firefighter - they come with me to every call, and reliably hold a charge for a very long time. I have yet to have the batteries die on me during use, even during long nighttime calls on i95. I absolutely cannot have my flashlight die when facing New York-to-Boston traffic, so as crazy as it sounds, I literally trust these batteries with my life.

Not as good as I thought they would be

I bought these thinking they would be better than the 4000 mah nite core batteries in single digit weather in my s60r thermal scope but they do not perform as well

Reliable Cold-Weather Performance

I typically carry a spare 18650 battery when I’m out for a full day in cold conditions, expecting to swap it out halfway through. On a recent trip to Japan, I only needed one—the charge lasted the entire day and even covered two shorter outings without needing a recharge.

Performance in low temperatures was noticeably better than standard 18650 cells I’ve used in the past. Output felt strong and consistent throughout the day, with no sudden drop-offs that sometimes happen in the cold.

Overall, these batteries delivered exactly as promised and performed reliably in freezing conditions.

NOCPIX Ace L35

I purchased 2 of these batteries for my NOCPIX Ace L35, they have worked fine. Run time is what was expected.

Not impressed

Not impressed. One battery only lasted 1.5 hours on a full charge in mid 30 degree temps. Grabbed another of my pocket and only had 3 bars. The “cold weather” battery is no better than any other 18650 battery.

Night Hunting

3 hours of run time on one and 5 hours on the other in 32 degree weather so not for sure the difference

I am not sure how I feel about these yet

I am not sure how I feel about these yet. I have two sets now and although I have not had any problems, my hunting buddy has had a set with twelve charges on them and they failed. I am concerned these will do the same

Thought these were going to last much longer than

Man, I really had high hopes for these! Thought these were going to last much longer than a standard 18650 in my thermal scope… if anything, they might’ve been a little less operation time than the standard battery that came with the NOCPIX Ace scope. The temperature wasn’t even that cold might’ve been 36° the two nights I used them back to back, not sure if I just got a couple of bad batteries or if this is what they are? Either way, not impressed with my first two cold temp batteries but they were cheaper than the factory batteries that came with the Thermal. I will however say that the 4 bank charger I bought from Nightcore is excellent and charge is really fast!

Huge improvement over factory batteries

Huge improvement over factory batteries, hold a charge in colder weather so much better. Probably twice as long as the batteries that came with my thermal scope

I thought a 18650 battery was a 18650 battery

I thought a 18650 battery was a 18650 battery, apparently I’m dumb and they are not, nitecore’s 18650 is a longer than the 18650 I needed, was thinking this would work great in my thermal scope for predator hunting sub zero nights but it’s to long to fit in the scope and I have $160 in batteries I can’t use

Ideal for Cold Weather

Purchased these to power my Nitecore head lamp while going on trail runs in temperatures between -20 to -40oC. Performance to-date has been excellent, capacity seems basically totally unchanged depending upon temperature, after one year of bi-daily use charging and performance also appears un-impacted. Have been very happy with my purchase.

I feel safer

I live in a severe weather area. We get down to sub zero temps. I want something that will work in the temperature where most batteries just die. Nitecore has solved the dilemma. I feels better about my devices working better. My mind is eased.

Cold weather battery

Battery is fine, but complete compatibility chart would be helpful. These won't work in the device I purchased them for, which wasn't totally clear.

Worked great!

You have to charge and use them a few times but once the batteries settle they run so much longer than standard 18650s. Thanks!

Question:

Would this battery perform better than the one included with the purchase of the HC65v2 in moderately cool, warm, and hot areas of the southern US states?
