Description

High Quality Tactical Pen

More than just a daily writing utensil, the NITECORE NTP21 is the anticipated update to the NTP20 tactical pen. On one end, the tungsten steel tapered tip functions as an effective glass breaker to smash windows or as a tool for self-defense. For writing, the NTP21 is equipped with a high-quality, German-made gel ink refill that is quick-drying, waterproof, and fade-resistant. The stainless steel tip of the NTP21 offers smooth writing in extreme cold and hot temperatures, underwater, and even when you are traveling in a shaking car or plane with ease.

Robust and Premium Build

With exquisite craftsmanship, the NTP21 pen is constructed from an aluminum alloy that offers lightweight ruggedness with an excellent resistance to impact and corrosion. Constructed from premium material, its bezel is machined from tungsten steel, which ranks second only to the hardness of diamond.

Designed for Everyday Carry

Designed to be comfortable, the body of the NTP21 has anti-skid threads in the center which increases friction and prevents sliding. A streamlined stainless steel clip allows you to easily attach the pen to your pocket, shirt, or backpack to avoid the loss of the pen. Weighing only 0.9 ounces and measuring less than 6 inches in length, the sleek NTP21 is the perfect addition to your EDC gear.

Customers praised this lightweight tactical pen for excellent writing quality and multi-functionality. Many noted it "writes flawlessly" and is "perfect for EDC." The glass breaker tip and durable coating were appreciated. Some found the screw-on cap cumbersome for frequent writing, and a few mentioned sharp edges. The ink refill is expensive but accepts cheaper alternatives.

Great Tac Pen

Item came as explained in description. First thing I did was swap the ink cartridge out with a Parker, writes much better then the Schneider cartridge that came with it. Shipment process was handled quickly. I’m satisfied with the product.

Great EDC Pen !!!

Great tactical pen !!! Perfect for EDC. a great price, well built, perfect size, not too big, not too small, fits in the hand and pocket nicely, nice, strong pocket clip, threads well, same durable coating as their flashlights, writes great, and accepts popular refills.
A Perfect tactical EDC Pen.
I couldn't ask for more, but, lol, if I did....
....I wish they also made a Stainless Steel version of All of their pens. A mid tier line if you will.
Titanium is great, but, I, and probably others, would probably like a more cost effective alternative to titanium, that is still durable, and is a dressier option to the coated pens.
I love this pen though.
I highly recommend it to anyone trying to decide.
Nitecore is a great Company as well.
Thanks again to everyone at Nitecore.

Great Light Sturdy Pen

This is my second NTP21. This pen is incredibly sturdy and light. It finds its way into tight places in my pack and with my journal. The postable cap is a plus. I've yet to use the carbide tip.

Nice pen

This is a great pen if you like gadgets. But also writes very well, its light weight too. I thought that having to unthread the cap every time to use it was gonna be a hassle, but its not too bad once you get used to it.

Great EDC tactical pen

A great tactical pen that I now carry with me everyday. I appreciate that it already comes with a schneider gel ink. The twist off cap is a bit cumbersome but I'm not constantly needing a pen to write with so it's not a problem to me, so I leave it with the tungsten tip exposed by default. The fit and finish is also great and I have no problems writing with it. It's a good tactical pen that doesnt break the bank and is worth it.

Lightweight, easy to use

Happily surprised how smooth this pen writes.

Not bad overall but could use some changes

If you write often, I'd go with one that doesn't have a screw on cap. You have to take the cap entirely off to write. Fine for some things, but annoying if you have to do only a little writing but do it often.

Ink refill that comes in the pen really is nice. It doesn't last at all long and was around $20 on Amazon to replace. It does take Fisher Space Pen refills though. Those are much cheaper, and have lasted longer so far.

Nice EDC pen

Lightweight aluminum pen with glass breaker tip. I like the fact that the top screws on. Easy to find refills.

Broken pen

I broke my pen this morning in a rescue effort at lake Charles Louisiana attempting to help an officer get a truck driver out of a rolled over big rig, it seems these tactical pens should only be used on side windows only and not on laminated safety glass windshields, in spite of the downfall of this morning's events i will be ordering a replacement pen, and am also considering the titanium version also.

A decent tactical pen for its price

Pros:
- Lightweight.
- The clip is just strong enough to attach to pockets without causing wear-and-tear damage.
- Gel ink dries quickly even on laser printer papers.
- Conceals well enough in pockets.

Cons:
- Some edges are a bit sharp. They don't actually cut the skin, however.
- The cap has, for some reason, holes that expose the writing end. This is a somewhat awkward design, as unwanted objects (dusts, etc.) may enter from these holes.
- The clip on the cap may seem fragile. Not having the hole at the center may strengthen the clip a bit.
- The writing end has some grooves that make the fingers a bit uncomfortable when gripped.
- The gel ink takes quite a bit of time to dry on business cards or other glossy surfaces.
- The glass breaker isn't sharp enough to deliver acute pain on pressure point for self defense. Some extra force needs to be applied.

The pen is overall a decent everyday carry considering its price.
