Nitecore Thumb 85 Lumen Clip on Rechargeable Flashlight, with Adjustable Angle

Great 90 degree light. Good clip for multi uses, strong output, easy stitches, red to green charging lights. Room for improvements: a notch to keep straight forward (pivots too easily), hood to block some of the light back to you (bothersome when wearing). Still great light, use daily and would recommend.

Very good little lights. Got one for friend, and one for my keychain. Mine has hat clip, and 4 modes, plus lock feature. Very useful for my everyday life.

I've been using the previous model (micro USB charging port) daily at work for the last 10 years which I guess says enough about durability.

This is probably my overall favorite Nitecore product. Fits perfectly on my suspenders on my gear for a perfect chest height light with a pivoting head. Great brightness great light output

USBC charging is great on this new model.

I do wish their was an updated version or a similar version of this same light with more light output (higher lumens) keeping the same pivoting head design, maybe add a 3rd led for more output? Just thinking as a first responder it's be a cool update.

I first purchased a nitecore thumb in 2018-19. It finally died. I searched on the nitecore website for usb-c products cause its freaking 2025 and who the f uses micro usb!? Well thumb came up and i was super excited cause its my favorite light. Well, purchased and it ended up being a micro usb rechargeable… in late 2025……… think im down 20$ down the drain, not keeping a micro cable anymore for a stupid flashlight that was falsely advertised as usb-c

Purchased November 2023. Charge it up and it works, The battery is dead by morning. The second one that has lasted barely a year.

Favorite of all the Nitecore rechargeables for the size. Used it when fishing in the evening, for evening walk, in the tool box and keep at hand in the truck. Have 4 of these.
Have given as gifts. Best of the rechargeable line.

Great light, Hands free light

With the light clipped to my pants pocket, when I reached past the light to retrieve something else the sharp cats ear corners poked and scratched me- never enough to draw blood but enough to irritate and so I took a small flat file and rounded off the corners just a little bit. That was great but sometimes the light bends 90 degrees (as designed) when I reach into my pocket and I get poked and scratched. So a little more filing at the hinge should do the trick.

This light is very bright but compact. I wear it on my uniform. I work in an area that if the lights were to go out, you would not be able to see your hand in front of your face. I feel better having this with me, just in case. It is also great while walking either early in the morning or just after dark. Easily switched on to guide the way.

This is my second "thumb", I was so impressed with the first one I decided to add another on to an additional set of keys.

A lot of light that can be use at those unusual times when you wish you had more light!

It's nice to have a light on my key-ring when I need a light and when I need both hands the clip lets me hang it from just about anywhere.

I bought this as it was one of the dimmest lights available here, and it is perfect in that regard. The only problem is I have to cycle through every brightness level every time I turn it on.

Other than that, nice light. Feels solid and I like that it can tilt the bulbs.

I am a paramedic and had been looking for a low profile light that I could use to start IVs when there is often too poor of lighting. This little light is awesome.

Bought the THUMB Clip on light about a month ago, couldn’t be happier. Have used it 4 times so far for before dawn steelhead fishing. Really like the sturdy clip so you can put it anywhere with the rotating head. Also it’s USB chargeable, bright, with 3 levels, well constructed and super small. Was thinking about buying an aluminum version by another company, glad I didn’t. You will not be disappointed with the thumb, I just hope they keep making this same exact product, will definitely be buying more when this one shits the bed.

Great features, design, size. Good map light, or for areas where you don't need your eyes "blown out" with an over abundance of blinding light.

My most recent trip I just took my Nitecore Thumb and it was perfect. I have a visor that I clip it to if I need it around camp and I can also hang it in my shelter for the red light. Clips to a shirt collar or backpack strap easily too. Rechargeable with micro usb. Battery life is great though. I probably used it at most for about 30 minutes since I usually crash soon after dark but a light is one of the ten essentials. If you have to bug out in the middle of the night, get up to pee, signal for help, whatever, you will be glad that you broke your back for the 0.88 oz for this thing to be along with you. When I'm not hiking, this thing stays on my keys. Makes unlocking my car or front door after dark a no brainer. Excellent little light.

This is a great choice if you need directional lighting. The pivoting head adds a lot of value. This light is small, bright and the build quality is high. What’s not to like?

I like the stout clip on the thumb so it will become a hat light easily. I can also clip it to my collar for hands free use. A great EDC light with lots of features.

Very bright

This light is very handy. The tilting head works great hooked onto a backpack strap or hat brim. It is very light and the battery lasts a long time. I would highly recommend this light to anyone.

Love this little thumb light. USB rechargeable and perfect flood light for walking in the night hands free with the articulating head. Red light in darkness to not disturb my family when I come home late.

I have been looking for a rechargeable light to clip on my cap or belt instead of always using a headlamp. This little guy is amazing, exactly what I needed, bright, long lasting and barely noticeable. Another great product!

This lamp charged quickly and works well.
The adjustable portion of the lamp angle is a little looser than I'd prefer. As I grab the lamp and turn it on, finger position tilts the lamp in an unintended angle. A tighter pivot point may help.

The lamp is bright and the settings work as designed.
For some reason, I thought the red lens was also out front - I may have just looked at too many other lamps that day!
Either way, the primary work great and the side red lamp is a nice feature.

Dollar for dollar - I prefer my original as a key chain lamp.
The 85 is just a little large. Though it may just take some getting used too.

Because of the easy of use, setting features and amount of light - this is really 3.5 stars.

4 stars would be if the hinge was not as 'touchy'.

This is a lightweight light to clip to a hat and provide plenty of white light on the project I'm working on. I wanted an option for red light to preserve my night vision. I would like the red light to be a little brighter, but in no light conditions it works well enough for what I need.

Tiny little thing. Easy to use. It is going on my van as my go-to.

SO FAR IT SEEMS LIKE A NICE LIGHT WEIGHT LIGHT. Ill get a better idea when I take it on a long backpacking trip and will be curious to see how long it will last when night hiking. Im using it to supplement my head lamp.

I just purchased this, we shall see how long it lasts. The style and design are great, and the red light is good for not losing your night vision.

I have had bad luck with these types of products lasting very long.
