As always, ANOTHER high quality product from awesome engineer team from Nitecore! I don't hike a lot, but I do ride and I get caught up with pests that get in my face all the time. This will do the trick as real world tests have already proven it to be a power house for bite prevention. :)

After figuring out the light functions I think this is the light to carry for anything that comes your way. I wish the battery were bigger for longer run times. Overall I like the user interface. Give yourself some time to figure out the UI. Really like the spot and flood and the combination of the two. Due to the run time of the light, I would always have a second light on me - wish the run time was longer. It would have to be longer to make me exclusively carry only one light. This is a sold 5 star light regardless. Only had the light for a few hours, so I haven’t had it long enough to notice any problems. I am going to test it in the national forest behind my house. Will update at a later time. If you are on the fence about this light get it, you won’t regret it!
