Let customers speak for us
from 8293 reviewsVery nice light. Three settings, one very bright for such small flashlight. Perfect for work
I have a Gen 2, which I have use for through hiking. I like that it's ultralight and the charge is quick. I recently purchased the Gen 3 for my son for his Mountain bike trip on the Colorado trail. I would buy it again!
Got this for my sister’s birthday she likes it told her I bought my son the tactical flashlight for Christmas very good quality so that is why I picked this out for her
Worked great
Great product
Having been a die hard, black diamond headlamp fan for a decade, I was hesitant to switch over to a different brand, but at the recommendation of mya decade, I was hesitant to switch over to a different brand, but at the recommendation of my Twin,, who is getting into ultralight, backpacking, the decision to switch over with a no-brainer. I like the simplicity better, appreciate, appreciate that glow in the dark band, and aside from only one loose tangle, I’ve been adjusting well to the two elastic strands, it feels like I’m barely even wearing a headlamp, while offering competitive illumination, strength, with a superior battery life (who can beat the 97 hour lowest setting at one lumen in the case of emergency?!). I think I’m converted.
Will see if it deters Mosquitoes next back country hike.
We bought six of these for the family &we all love them.
Amazing little light, I strapped it to the back of my backpack, That I wear while cycling. Works like a charm.
Powerhouse in a small edc friendly size
This is one of the few commercial lamps that let you power them via an external USB-C source. Issues are minimal (but they exist) and advantages are many.
The lamp is made out of some highly durable carbon-poly frame. It's not metal, but it feels extremely robust and not cheap at all. There's an obvious cost and weight savings here over high-end flashlights.
I have tried it with high powered USB-C PD powerbanks that can output 140W, and also the carbon battery sold by Nitecore. Both are great.
Adjustment up and down is firm, and connections are tight fitting and come with gaskets over the ports.
Modes are good, and the flashlight does remain on if you unplug it.
Weaknesses: It really, really should be sold in a varient that includes the carbon battery. It should be the main option, and standalone should be a secondary option. I can see why others who bought this were confused.
Second, I also agree with another user's views that a more expensive, beefy HU5000 or HU7000 model should exist. With USD-C now supporting up to 240W, there's no reason we shouldn't be able to create a light good for downhill bikers, area lighting, or something that can offer a huge throw range mode. Sure, it will need a big heatsink, but just do it.
Excellent headlamp when combined with carbon battery. It is my favorite headlight setup of all time. Having the weight off your forhead alone is worth buying this.
To be honest, the top two brightness levels seem like overkill. Might be useful for searching. The interface is great - fast access to full brightness or normal light. Proper USB-C, unlike some. Only downside is that the battery isn't really replaceable. I use it lightly enough that it'll probably be 5-10 years before that matters, though.
Good construction and fairly priced. Thank you for supporting older model headlamps.
Lightweight and great build quality. Packaging is a 10/10
Love the quick charge
