Huge improvement over factory batteries, hold a charge in colder weather so much better. Probably twice as long as the batteries that came with my thermal scope

it worked well in the cold. Thats allot to ask for. Poor conditions dont seem to be a thing that bother its function at all. Overall I would consider it an excellent product.

I normally do not write reviews, but wanted to call out the new Nitecore EDC17 flashlight. It is an excellent (almost perfect) EDC light!!! The build quality is outstanding! The texturing feels great in the hand and gives you a solid grip. Moreover, it disappears when you clip to your pocket. You forget it's there after a while. The form and function with the switch on the side are genius! Very easy to use and very easy/intuitive to switch between the different light levels. Much quicker than the UI of like flashlights where you have to hold down a button to switch between brightness levels. Additionally, the the lumen spacing between low, mid and high are really just about perfect. Low gives you more than enough light for many common tasks like walking around a dark house at night. Medium is bright enough for letting my dog out at night and suffciently covering a 20-30 meter area. Then high really lights up an area! Very bright and very functional. No hot spot to speak of, just bright, cool white light that not only has a great flood area, but also reaches well into a woodline. The only downside (from my personnal perspective) is the the wedge/glassbreaker tail end. There is nothing wrong with the concept. It looks solid and I suspect it would do the job of breaking glass in an emergency. Could also double as a self-defense tool in pinch. However, I really wish it would have had a flat, magnetic base so that you could tailstand and use as worklight. It would absolutely be perfect (for me) if it could tailstand and attach to metal surfaces. That said, it is still better than the main Olight competitor (Arkfeld) due to run times and brightness. I like Olights, but this is simply a cut above. I am a fan and this now my favorite EDC light!!! If Nitecore ever decides to build one with a flat, magnetic base I will wait in line to buy!

Great flashlight

Excellent and very versatile EDC light. It is very easy to find the switches and switch positions while wearing gloves.
White light has a good center spot and a good flood capability.

I highly recommend the EDC17 - a great value and NiteCore's Customer Service is EXCEPTIONAL.

The quality of this flashlight is outstanding it’s lightweight and super bright, I’ve never had it turn on in my pocket and the lifetime warranty is actually lifetime I’ve contacted nitecore over my light and they were more than happy to cover shipping expenses and send me a brand new light this company and their products are a 10/10
