Let customers speak for us
from 8066 reviewsThis light gets hot fast at 8000 Lumen settings (Luminshield or Strobe), so after a short time (15 sec or so) the temp sensor throttles it back to a lower power setting until it cools off. This is OK with me since my intended purpose for the light is mainly as a tac strobe, so a few seconds is all I need. The switch handles differently than the 20ix, which is unfortunate since it creates minor confusion, but the switch on the 37 works well enough. Get the 20ix if you are looking for belt carry with a replaceable battery and stupid easy strobe access (you do have to program it for that application). Get the EDC37 if you are looking for a beast that works best for pocket carry (the 37 is shorter, but thicker and heavier) and you can live with a (good) battery that you cannot replace. Also be mindful of very short usage window at high power. Either strobe will blind any adversary temporarily, so power should not be the deciding factor if you are looking for a tac light. I like and use both - carry choice is based on whether I want belt (20ix) or pocket (EDC37) carry. Both have merits and limitations. Pocket carry (37) is more discrete, but you won’t use the pocket clip on the 37 (just carry it loose; lockout switch is like a thumb safety so no worries about accidental ignition). Practice your draw so you don’t forget to hit that lockout switch. 20ix draw is quicker and simpler, but belt carry is not always a good option since it attracts attention and invites questions. Best option: get both! Great lights - each in their own way.
I love this thing!
quality product, would recommend
Nice and compact, easy to use, very well made, and lots of power, it could get hot, anther great feature is the lockout switch, I am happy with it, I just wish I could be able to switch out the battery so that if I need it I have that option.
I have purchased many of these. Most were gifts to friends. Necessity for keeping in vehicle when traveling!!!
Have used it 4 times while hiking.Charged the phone quickly and very lightweight.
I own the EDC27UHi, the EDC29, and now the EDC37! They just keep getting better and better! I know that it’s marketed primarily as an EDC style light, but I have one suggestion to make it a little more of a tactical light. I wish the half-press of the POWER button were programmable. That would allow momentary use of the other brightnesses besides ULTRA-LOW.
I bought the nitecore 10,000 and took it on a six week trip. The cables became exposed but still worked but upon my return I sent info to CS who immediately sent me a new one. I love the support I got a wonderful product and company who backsup their products. Thank you very much A. and the Nitecore staff !
Living in Alaska the need for Mosquito repelled t and relief is a necessity. This bite reliever works great.
I use it as a secondary flashlight. I wear it in my belt in a rotating holster. I can only give a review on its utility in my profession. I work as a CO and it helps lot in remaining visible when walking cellblocks. I turn the light on as a walk the cell blocks or stand in front of a cell to stay visible. It's a great flood light for sure. It really illuminates dark open spaces. If you want a bit of a control beam+ good spotlight go for a EDC29. Best tool on my toolbox.
I love this light. Lots of features. Working excellent
Perfect for my Mevo plus golf launch monitor!
I really enjoy using this light. It does have a few drawbacks like its thickness, but that is minor when you look at how versatile and powerful it is. You can check your power level before turning it on which is great. It has several useful light levels and then you can use the custom button the bring on two of three (your choice) extremely powerful modes. The screen tells you what is going on and gives you runtimes for each light level.
This is a great companion and I carry it all the time.
This Flashlight Turns Night Into Day!
Wow—just wow. This compact flashlight is an absolute powerhouse! I took it out for a test run, and I’m genuinely blown away. It’s like holding a miniature sun in the palm of your hand. The beam is so intense and far-reaching, it practically turns night into day.
Despite its small size, this light packs serious performance. It’s not just bright—it’s brilliantly functional, too. Easy to carry, quick to recharge, and built like a tank. It’s exceeded every one of my expectations.
If you’re on the fence, don’t be. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. Hands down one of the best flashlights I’ve ever used!
Having this extra battery is so convenient! I carry my Nitecore MT1A Pro flashlight all the time because of its light weight. Having the extra battery for it means I can just swap batteries and keep using my light. No waiting for the battery to charge, just swap and go. I recommend doing this to anyone who uses their light a lot!
